Kurrawang Aboriginal Christian Community

This case study focuses on Kurrawang Aboriginal Christian Community, a self-governing Aboriginal community based in Western Australia, and their efforts to create positive change in their community and achieve financial independence through various projects and partnerships.

Kurrawang's long-term dream is to strengthen social and economic well-being and achieve financial independence through town planning, enhanced services and infrastructure, affordable housing, education and business opportunities, and sports and recreation facilities.

Kurrawang first approached Community First Development to work with them in 2013 and we have since provided support in project design, funding submissions, and project management. We have also supported Kurrawang to develop their strategic plan and secure funding for various projects.

Kurrawang has made substantial progress towards their dream since 2013. ​
