A D R E A M TO EMPOWER WOMEN AND GIRLS

Community First Development was invited to work alongside ALTYERRE ATYENHE, an Aboriginal owned business run by their incredible founder, Anne Mpetyane Lynch. Anne is a local Arrente woman, working hard to build Black Tank Outstation on Anarpipe Country to be a place of belonging for her family and future generations.

Anne approached us to work together to develop a strategic business plan to achieve her dream of building strong communities with opportunities for First Nations’ women.

Working alongside Anne and seeing the business plan come to life was a wonderful opportunity to see what a vital role Altyerre Atyenhe can play in empowering girls and women to build their own future through education and connection to Country and Culture.

 Altyerre Atyenhe aspires to provide services including camps for Aboriginal girls and women to connect to Country and strengthen their identity, plus Cultural Awareness school camps for Aboriginal and non-Aboriginal girls. Anne also offers consultancy to schools, businesses, and other organisations to preserve Culture.  

She uses her incredible art to share cultural knowledge and art therapy as a key tool for engagement.
