What inspired you to work with Community First Development?

To help make a difference and to be a part of the change.

What is a recent project you’ve been involved in?

Tjukurba Art Gallery with assisting Wiluna community artists to diversify their art and craft skills through running workshops. This will enable the artist to use their new set of skills to create other forms of artwork to sell at the Gallery eg: Basket weaving.

What is most rewarding about your work as a Community Development Officer?

Seeing the joy in people’s faces when you have helped them reach a goal or dream

What have you learnt from working with First Nations communities?

I have developed an appreciation and a better understanding of culture and the connections between people and Country.
