Community First Development is a First Nations led community development and research organisation that creates positive change in and with First Nations communities. Communities have control; they name the priorities and choose the design, assets, capabilities and approach to achieve their vision. We provide tailored support through community partners, skilled staff, trained volunteers, supporters, and service providers.

Reporting to the Finance and Operations Manager and with a key focus on the successful delivery of our Supporter Engagement Program, Community First Development is seeking to appoint a Data Coordinator. 

This role will oversee, maintain and optimise the fundraising database, deliver analytical and financial reports and provide practical support to the Supporter Engagement team, ensuring strong data integrity and positive donor relationships are maintained.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Extract, review and analyse campaign data primarily from the CRM (Raiser’s Edge - RE) to assist management decisions regarding donor retention, donor value, timing and campaign outcomes.

  • Review and maintain the CRM and additional payment applications to ensure donor accuracy, and data sensitivity and security is maintained.

  • Identify and develop new reporting methods to improve outcomes and insights including a dashboard for each campaign.

  • Coordinate with external database specialists for difficult and complex data extraction and provide troubleshooting support for the supporter engagement team.

  • Complete monthly financial reporting and reconciliation between RE and the finance system and assist with the end of year audit process.

SELECTION CRITERIA

  • Ability to work respectfully, effectively and collaboratively with First Nations and non-Indigenous people, understanding cultural protocols and expectations.

  • Technical understanding of database structures, data query environment and reporting, including at least 3 years experience, or proven ability, operating in a data coordinator role that included CRM management and reporting.

  • Desirable to have at least 1 years’ experience in fundraising data extraction in the not-for-profit sector, using RE or similar product.

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills and highly desirable to have experience or knowledge of PowerBI, Microsoft CoPilot or other similar products.

  • Ability to prioritise, meet reporting deadlines and operate independently.

  • Proven ability to demonstrate initiative and flexibility when faced with challenges and opportunities.
