For Vanessa Stokes, a proud Luritja, Warramungu, Narrunga and Kokatha woman and former Australian softball representative, role models helped her believe in herself, pursue her goals and represent her country. Today, through Blakdoll Sports & Fitness Mob, she is creating those same opportunities for children and young people in remote and regional communities.

Using sport, culture and mentoring, Blakdoll supports children to build confidence, leadership skills and a stronger belief in what they can achieve. By connecting young people with inspiring role models from a range of professional and cultural backgrounds, the program creates opportunities for them to see new possibilities for their future while staying connected to their strengths, culture and community.
